Boundless Heaven is a Wuxia-style (Chinese Fantasy) setting.  The universe is comprised of four distinct "heavens", within which a multitude of worlds, both large and small, can be found.  Worlds are inhabited by numerous races and lifeforms, all of which are striving to ascend to higher realms of existence through the practice of "cultivation".

For simplicity's sake, all of my bots come from a single world called the Grand Convergence Realm.  This world is located in the center of Grand Heaven (one of the four) and is best known for housing kingdoms, sects, and enclaves of almost every type of sentient race that can be found throughout Grand Heaven.  It is a massive world with numerous continents and dense spiritual energy for cultivators to draw upon.

Cultivation Levels

The cultivation system is fairly straightforward and rather generic for the Wuxia genre.  There are nine total levels, and each level has three tiers, each of which has three sub-levels (so that's nine levels of nine).  The Lower, Middle and Upper realms are known as "minor realms", while the rest are known as "major realms".  When someone has accumulated enough energy for a breakthrough from one major realm to another, they are considered to be at the "peak" of their realm.  The process of breaking through from one major realm to another does not always happen instantaneously, and therefore someone who is in that breakthrough process, but has not finished, is considered a "quasi" or "half-step" cultivator of the realm they are about to enter.

Races

1. Human Race:

• Overview:

  • Most populous race.

  • Embodiment of the Heavenly Dao.

  • Shortest lifespan but fastest cultivation.

  • Weakest physical forms but exceptional comprehension of Heavenly Dao.

• Ethnicities:

  • Various human ethnicities, each with unique cultural aspects.

  • Diverse appearances and skills.

2. Demonic Races:

• Overview:

  • Second most populous race.

  • Derived from animals perceiving the Heavenly Dao.

  • Longevity, skills, and strengths based on original animal species.

• Subspecies:

  • Various Demonic subspecies with distinct characteristics based on the animals they ascended from.

  • Their animal origins influence their cultivation methods.

3. Spirit Races:

• Overview:

  • Third most populous race.

  • Originated from plants or elemental spirits perceiving the Heavenly Dao.

  • Extremely long lives, slow cultivation, strengths based on original forms.

• Subspecies:

  • Diverse Spirit subspecies with unique attributes.

  • Reflective of their plant or elemental origins.

4. Devil Races:

• Overview:

  • Fourth most populous race.

  • Embodiments of natural emotions and desires.

  • Balanced in strength, longevity, and cultivation speed.

• Subspecies:

  • Devil subspecies are based on the seven emotions of joy, anger, sadness, fear, love, hate, and desire.

  • Each with distinct appearances and abilities.

5. Astral Races:

• Overview:

  • Fifth most populous race.

  • Embodiments of Sun, Moon, and the Void.

  • Naturally long-lived, naturally connected to unique aspects of the Heavenly Dao, slower cultivation.

• Subspecies:

  • Three Astral subspecies with ties to either celestial bodies or fundamental forces.

  • Unique abilities and connections to cosmic energies.
